Pioneers will be kicking off the season with a double mountain rivalry - DEC. 4/5th vs. the McCall Mountaineers, and DEC. 18/19th vs. old town Sun Valley Suns. Later in the season includes games vs the FDNY and NYPD, Outdoor Winter Classic, and more rivalry matchups. The Pioneers will be hosting the New York Fire Department and New York Police Department teams 3 weeks apart in January 2027 (FDNY 1/8-9th, NYPD 1/29-30th). The NYPD weekend will feature the famous Guns-N-Hoses game between the SLC Fire Department and SLC Police Department on Saturday 1/30 @3pm at Black Rock Event Center.

The Pios are set to host 2nd annual Midway Winter Classic Series vs. the Breckenridge Vipers on Saturday, January 23rd, 2027 @2pm! The Friday, January 22nd game will be held at Black Rock Event Center @7pm. The Pios swept the Reno Ice Raiders in front of a packed crowd at the first annual Midway Winter Classic on Feb. 21st, 2026.

The Pios and Saltfire Brewery teamed up to brew a house label — Pioneers Pilsner — pouring at every home game.
